The historical focus of LAMPLighters has been to support the children and families in residence at Metropolitan Ministries. In 2002-03, the membership voted to expand the scope to assist other programs supporting children in need. Beginning that year, a portion of the annual funds raised were allocated to Joshua House, a program and shelter for abused and neglected children from the Tampa Bay area.
